We are pleased to inform you that at the VIII Latin American Forestry Congress (CONFLAT), taking place in Mendoza, Argentina, from 27 to 30 March 2023, the National Forest Plantations Commission of Argentina, FAO and the IPC are co-organizing a symposium entitled “Sustainable forest value chains for more resilient, inclusive and carbon-neutral economies in the face of environmental challenges”, subdivided into two sessions:
– Fast-growing planted forests: scientific bases and lessons learned for sustainable and inclusive forestry (28 March from 10:45 to 13:00)
– Sustainable wood value chains to achieve climate neutrality and resilience (28 March from 14:00 to 16:00), related to the Collaborative Partnerships on Forests (CPF) joint Sustainable Wood for a Sustainable World Initiative (SW4SW).
